An Important Message regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We at Gilmartin Magence LLP take the health and safety of our employees, clients, friends, and professional colleagues seriously. To that end, we have made temporary changes around the offices to help reduce exposure. These measures are being instituted immediately and will remain until further notice.
First, we are limiting movement between our two offices. This will require attorneys to only close files in their home office. If your closing will be affected by this, you will be contacted by your attorney in advance of closing to let you know if a different attorney in our office will be signing closing documents with you.
Second, we are limiting the movement of clients and others inside our offices. In our Newton office, we will keep all scheduled closings to the first floor. In Boston, we will keep all scheduled closings within the front of the office, keeping access to the back of the office limited to employees only.
Third, we are asking attorneys to sit across from the clients instead of beside the client. This would provide a greater distance between people inside a conference room. Everyone should try to practice social distancing.
Fourth, every morning we are using sanitizing wipes to clean the copiers and using disinfectant spray on all surfaces in the conference rooms, including writing instruments. We will provide new disposable pens for each closing, which will be thrown out promptly after use. If clients chose to use their own pen that is also fine, and we will have a box of disposable gloves either on the first floor of our Newton office or at the reception area in Boston to use as well.
We ask that everyone continually wash their hands in general and especially prior to meeting with clients.
As things change often with updates from the CDC and governmental or other municipal agencies, our policies within the office may be further updated and we will advise if and when we implement changes.
Best wishes to all, please stay safe and healthy out there!
